Investigation and optimization of machining parameters in electrochemical machining of aluminium metal matrix composites

Metal matrix composites (MMCs) have been increasingly used in industries, nuclear plant, and automobiles due to their superior properties compared other alloys, that is owing the tough abrasive hard reinforced particles. It’s complicated machine materials by traditional processes methods, therefore The present study focused on investigation of parameters electrochemical machining (ECM) like electrolyte concentration(EC), voltage(V), Inter-electrode gap (IEG) radial over cut (ROC) material removal rate (MRR) ECM Al-7.5%B4C. Stir casting method was fabricate metal composites. Based Taguchi design, process were optimized. A Multiple Regression Model (MRM) employed as model for rate. mathematical examined using analysis variance (ANOVA). EC 10 g/L, V v, IEG 0.3 mm are optimal parametric combination ROC. Also, 30 18 V, 0.2 MRR.
